Learn How to Become a Lino Lakes Public Safety Volunteer

Police Explorers Post
The purpose of the Explorers is to provide young adults with an opportunity to "explore" a career in law enforcement and receive training in that career, while at the same time, building a unique relationship between themselves, the adult volunteer leaders, the public safety department, and their community.
Trail Watch
The Lino Lakes Public Safety Department has a program to increase the visibility of law enforcement in our city parks and trails. The Park and Trail Patrol program is similar to Neighborhood Watch. It is designed to be a proactive approach and focus on crime prevention. The goal is to keep our many parks and trails safe and enjoyable for all.
Reserve Officer
The Lino Lakes Public Safety Department Reserve Officer Unit provides thousands of volunteer hours annually of assistance to the public safety department. They provide neighborhood and business checks, assistance at community events, transporting of prisoners, traffic direction, and general patrol.
Chaplain (Police & Fire)
The Lino Lakes Police and Fire Departments are supported by an internal Chaplain program that provides a faith based option that can be used to support both the Police Officers and Fire Fighters. The Chaplain program is also designed to come along-side the Public Safety Department to provide support to the community during times of crisis, loss or need.
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
This CERT Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event.
Lino Lakes Volunteers In Public Safety (LLVIPS)
LLVIPS is organized exclusively for non-profit, public, educational and charitable purposes related to the volunteer organizations assisting the Lino Lakes Public Safety Department, including, but not limited to Lino Lakes the various volunteer programs as well as the Police and Fire divisions, and other public safety related causes.
